Faserplatten
Faserplatten oder Holzfaserplatten gibt es verschieden Ausführungen und Bezeichnungen. Alle Arten der Faserplatte haben jedoch eins gemeinsam. Bei dem aufwendigen Herstellungsverfahren wird das Holz bis auf die reine Holzfaser zersetzt, dies erfolgt in dem man das Holz dämpft und kocht.
Die dadurch gewonnenen Holzfasern werden zu unterschiedlichen Plattentypen mit von sich abweichenden Einsatzzwecken weiterverarbeitet. Faserplattenweisen in alle Plattenebenen gleichartiges Quell- und Schwindverhalten auf.
Folgende Faserplatten sind im Holzhandel erhältlich:
- MDF
- Holzfaserdämmplatte
- Mittelharte Holzfaserplatte
- Hartfaserplatte
- Hochdichte Faserplatte
